FILM FEAR 2012

A big bucket of THANK-YOU to the people who braved the latest October Snow-Storm this past Friday Night and attended the Suncor Energy Center for the Performing Arts for our version of Halloween horrors!

The large, costume-laden crowd witnessed some spooky local film-making as well as some amazing international short-films. BloodyCuts, the Horror Film Troupe out of the UK, made the audience jump out of their skin with PREY and DEAD MAN’S LAKE. The King of Pop was resurrected to show off his zombie-dance on the big screen. The maker’s of “Hobo with a Shotgun” made the crowd squeal with TREEVENGE; and the world premiere of the Hyperphotonic Media/YMM Podcast project ARKHAM RISING was finally revealed as a small nod to an incredible trilogy. To end the night, the Film Fear audience witnessed the absolute awesomeness of Bruce Campbell in ARMY OF DARKNESS and a sneak peek into the EVIL DEAD remake, coming February 2013!

Together, we raised approximately 500lbs of needed items and over $100 for the Wood Buffalo Food Bank! This did not include the zombie hands and arms also found in the donations!

While many braved the judgment of their peers and stood on-stage for our costume contest, only the Silent Hill Nurse (Sydney Campbell) and Master Chief (still don’t know who it was) won prizes for Best Male and Female costume!
